Le soir, plein des d\u00e9go\u00fbts du journalier mirage,
\nAvec des dents, brutal, de folie et de feu,
\nJe mords en moi mon propre c\u0153ur et je l\u2019outrage
\nEt ricane, s\u2019il tord son martyre vers Dieu.<\/p>\n

L\u00e0-bas, un ciel br\u00fbl\u00e9 d\u2019apoth\u00e9oses vertes
\nDomine un coin de mer \u2014 et des flammes de flots
\nEntrent, comme parmi des blessures ouvertes,
\nEn des \u00e9cueils trou\u00e9s de cris et de sanglots.<\/p>\n

Et mon c\u0153ur se refl\u00e8te en ce soir de torture,
\nQuand la vague se ronge et se d\u00e9chire aux rocs
\nEt s\u2019acharne contre elle et que son armature
\nD\u2019or et d\u2019argent \u00e9clate et s\u2019\u00e9miette, par chocs.<\/p>\n

La joie, enfin, me vient de souffrir par moi-m\u00eame,
\nParce que je le veux, et je m\u2019enivre aux pleurs
\nQue je r\u00e9pands, et mon orgueil tait son blasph\u00e8me
\nEt s\u2019exalte, sous les abois de mes douleurs.<\/p>\n

Je harc\u00e8le mes maux et mes vices. J\u2019oublie
\nL\u2019inextinguible ennui de mon d\u00e9traquement,
\nEt quand l\u00e8ve le soir son calice de lie,
\nJe me le verse \u00e0 boire,
