D\u2019\u00e9normes espaliers tendaient des rameaux longs,
\nO\u00f9 les fruits allumaient leur chair et leur pl\u00e9thore,
\nPareils, dans la verdure, \u00e0 ces rouges ballons
\nQu\u2019on voit flamber les nuits de kermesse sonore.<\/p>\n

Pendant vingt ans, malgr\u00e9 l\u2019hiver et ses grelons,
\nMalgr\u00e9 les gels du soir, les givres de l\u2019aurore,
\nIls s\u2019\u00e9taient accroch\u00e9s aux fentes des moellons,
\nPour monter jusqu\u2019au toit, monter, monter encore.<\/p>\n

Maintenant ils couvraient de leur largeur les murs,
\nEt sur les pignons hauts et clairs, poires et pommes,
\nBombaient superbement des seins pourpr\u00e9s et m\u00fbrs.<\/p>\n

Les troncs g\u00e9ants, crev\u00e9s partout, suaient des gommes ;
\nLes racines plongaient jusqu\u2019aux prochains ruisseaux,
\nEt les feuilles luisaient comme des vols
