Cependant que tu dis ta Cassandre divine,
\nLes louanges du roi, et l\u2019h\u00e9ritier d\u2019Hector,
\nEt ce Montmorency, notre fran\u00e7ais Nestor,
\nEt que de sa faveur Henri t\u2019estime digne :<\/p>\n

Je me prom\u00e8ne seul sur la rive latine,
\nLa France regrettant, et regrettant encor
\nMes antiques amis, mon plus riche tr\u00e9sor,
\nEt le plaisant s\u00e9jour de ma terre angevine.<\/p>\n

Je regrette les bois, et les champs blondissants,
\nLes vignes, les jardins, et les pr\u00e9s verdissants
\nQue mon fleuve traverse : ici pour r\u00e9compense<\/p>\n

Ne voyant que l\u2019orgueil de ces monceaux pierreux,
\nO\u00f9 me tient attach\u00e9 d\u2019un espoir malheureux
\nCe que poss\u00e8de moins celui qui plus y
